CURRENT WORK PRACTICES FOR EFFECTIVE COCKROACH ANTS & SPIDER TREATMENTS

1. Permethrin Dust is applied, using a specially designed dusting machine into cracks and crevices through weep holes, and into roof voids.  This has two advantages.  Firstly, a large amount of insecticide is placed where it is most effective and, secondly, it is completely out of reach of residents, their children and pets.   This is extremely effective for the control of cockroaches, ants, silverfish and spiders.

1. Every crack or small space is injected with Permethrin and a gel that has been specially designed to eradicate and control German Cockroaches.  This is a time consuming process but is extremely effective in the control of German Cockroaches.

1. Spiders are controlled externally to a height of approximately three metres from any available work platform, by a synthetic pyrethroid applied with a fan patterned spray tip designed to minimise drift and access behind areas like downpipes and pot plants and outdoor furniture where spiders like to live. 

1. The perimeter of each room is treated with a wettable micro-powder, again a synthetic pyrethroid, for the control of cockroaches.

TERMITE INSPECTIONS & TERMITE PROTECTION

The Australian Standard AS 3660 – Termite Management advises that termites pose a significant economic risk to buildings and structures throughout mainland Australia. Consequently regular monitoring of properties for termite activity is essential.

Federal recommends a Termite Inspection every 6 – 12 months. 

In any given area it is normal for new termite colonies to be establishing, or existing colonies to be seeking new food sources. They will eventually invade dwellings. For this reason we strongly recommend that you install termite-monitoring stations around your property as an early warning system.
